Our Master's student Emilie wins the OICT with a pitch about their RevivaMat Startup

Hosted by EIT, the Open Innovation Challenge for Talent lets ambitious students and PhDs pitch their start-up ideas and goals, while also detailling the steps needed to achieve them. Our master student Emilie Dehaerne is part of the RevivaMat Startup, which detailled a route towards the capturing of carbon dioxide emissions from steelplants and utilising it in combination with recycled Zinc and Calcium from other waste streams of the steelplants (Zinc from EAF dust and Calcium from steel slag), to produce basic zinc carbonate and precipitated calcium carbonate.
